Rhinoplasty (Nose Job) Before and After: What the Evidence Shows

Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose, whether to refine the tip, reduce a dorsal hump, straighten a crooked nose, or improve breathing. The before-and-after photos here show one patient's nose before surgery and again once swelling has settled, which for the nose can take many months to over a year. Because the nose sits at the center of the face, small changes can look significant, but the same operation will produce different results on different faces depending on skin thickness, cartilage strength, and individual healing. Validated patient-reported tools such as the Rhinoplasty Outcome Evaluation generally show meaningful gains in satisfaction and quality of life, yet the literature also reports that a minority of patients need revision surgery and that aesthetic and breathing results do not always move together. Photos cannot convey how your nose will feel, breathe, or change as final swelling resolves. Treat these images as realistic examples rather than a template for your own outcome.
