Fertility care covers in-vitro fertilisation and the diagnostics, stimulation protocols, laboratory work and embryo handling around it. Coverage in the United States varies enormously by state and employer, and many patients pay for at least part of a cycle themselves. When comparing programmes, the headline price of a cycle is rarely the whole picture: medication, anaesthesia, embryo freezing and genetic testing are often quoted separately. Ask for the all-in figure, how many days you need to be in country, and what the clinic's policy is on storage and transport of frozen embryos.
