How much does a mommy makeover in Turkey cost?

Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital lists a mommy makeover package at $16,500, covering 360 liposuction, a tummy tuck, a breast lift and a Brazilian butt lift, two nights in hospital, eight nights in a hotel, transfers and compression garments. That is an extensive package: simpler combinations cost less. In the U.S., a mommy makeover typically costs $10,000 to $30,000 in total (Cherry, 2026).

Most of our Istanbul partners price a mommy makeover individually, after reviewing your photos. These are the prices of each procedure on its own at our partner clinics; a combined operation usually costs less than the sum, because you pay for one anesthesia and one hospital stay.

Procedure on its ownPrice range at our partner clinicsClinics
Tummy tuck$3,027 – $12,5476
Breast augmentation$2,000 – $8,65510
Liposuction$1,500 – $8,3109

What a mommy makeover includes

  • Tummy tuck removes loose skin and repairs abdominal muscles separated by pregnancy.
  • Breast lift, with or without implants, restores breast shape after breastfeeding.
  • Liposuction, often 360 liposuction of the abdomen, flanks and back. Some packages add a Brazilian butt lift.

Turkish packages usually bundle the hotel, airport transfers and an interpreter. Compare what each quote includes, not only the price.

Safety: how much to combine in one operation

Combining a tummy tuck, breast surgery and liposuction means one anesthesia and one recovery, which is the main reason for a mommy makeover. But a longer operation carries more risk, especially of blood clots, and the risk adds up when you also take a long flight afterwards. Ask your surgeon how long the operation will take, how blood clots are prevented, and whether an extensive plan should be split into two stages. The CDC advises waiting 10 to 14 days after major surgery before flying.

Who is a good candidate

Surgeons generally recommend waiting until you are finished having children, at least several months after breastfeeding ends, and close to a stable weight. A future pregnancy can stretch the abdomen again.

Recovery and the flight home

Plan on about two weeks in Istanbul. The flight home takes about 10 hours to the East Coast and 13 to the West Coast, which matters after a long combined operation: ask your surgeon about blood-clot prevention for the flight, such as compression stockings and walking in the aisle. Avoid heavy lifting, including lifting small children, for about four to six weeks.

How to check your surgeon in Turkey

  • Check that the surgeon holds a Turkish specialist title in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery; some also hold the European board qualification (EBOPRAS / FEBOPRAS).
  • Confirm in writing that the surgeon you consulted is the one who will operate.
  • Ask how many of these operations the surgeon performs a year, and for before-and-after photos of patients similar to you.

Insurance and taxes

Cosmetic surgery is not covered by U.S. health insurance, and the IRS does not treat it as a medical expense (IRS Publication 502). The CDC warns that treating complications after surgery abroad can be expensive and may not be covered by your U.S. plan.

Is a mommy makeover cheaper in Turkey than in Mexico?

Not always. Tijuana's published price ($8,000 to $12,000) is lower than the Istanbul package we list, and Mexico avoids a long flight. Turkish packages often include more nights of hotel and more procedures, so compare what each covers.

Before you travel: what the CDC recommends

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention publishes guidance for Americans travelling abroad for medical care. These are its recommendations, not ours.

  • Check the qualifications of the clinician who will perform the procedure and the credentials of the facility.
  • Bring copies of your medical records, including lab and other test results related to your condition.
  • Make sure you can get follow-up care in the United States. Care for complications can be expensive and might not be covered by your health insurance.
  • Obtain international travel health insurance that covers medical evacuation back to the United States.
  • See your own healthcare provider 4–6 weeks before the trip to discuss risks specific to your health.
